On a hot and sunny September morning around twenty families joined the staff and children at Playgroup for a lovely Celebration of Harvest. Everyone brought generous donations of fruit, vegetables, flowers, preserves and cakes and we sang songs and shared the story of the Little Red Hen and The Enormous Turnip.
At the end of the morning we had a sale of
all the produce and rose over £80 for Age UK. We also filled a basket with
fresh vegetables and fruit to donate to Nayland House Care Home.
