Beach Trip to Brightlingsea

We went on our annual beach to Brightlingsea.  The children played in the park.  They enjoyed holding on to the zip slide.  Some children had a go on the climbing wall.  We set up camp on the beach and the children made sandcastles, filled up watering cans and buckets.  We paddled in the water and looked at the different seaweed.  After our picnic we played with the parachute and went crabbing with our new nets.

Teacher visit

Yesterday Mrs Eves from Nayland Primary School came to visit some of the 2019 leavers.  We showed Mrs Eves the mind map we made with the children - what we already know about going to school.  We asked Mrs Eves questions about school.  We have 13 children leaving us in July - going to 4 different surrounding schools.  We have uniform from most of the local schools.  We have been practising getting dressed for PE, listening and following instructions.

Little Feet Multi-Sports

Ian from Maxim Sports Coaching comes every Monday to do a Little Feet Multi-Sports session with the Pre-School children.  Offering a fun, early introduction to sport and physical play for Early Years Foundation Stage children.

Children learn to enjoy sport and being active from an earlier age.  They learn to improve and hone their skills in kicking, throwing and catching.

They also improve their gross motor skills, balance and coordination.

Children learn to focus on social interaction, teamwork, confidence and communication.  They use colours, numbers and shapes.

Sessions include, tennis, football, rugby, basketball, parachute games plus much more!

Visit to Nayland Care Home - Wednesday 12th June 2019

On Wednesday we were invited by Nayland Care Home to go and spend some time with the residents.  The residents helped us make Fathers Day cards with lots of lovely stickers, pens and pencils.  We are had a great time and lots of friendships were formed.  Thank you Nayland Care Home, we can't wait to visit again soon!
