Message from Debbie Lock our Fundraising Officer
Firstly let me introduce myself, my name is Debbie Lock and I'm the fundraising officer on the woodland Corner committee.
On 19th March we held our cake sale outside Kerridges butchers in Nayland. This is always very popular and we advise people to arrive early to avoid disappointment! We thank everyone who baked, and despite the early rain, we did sell and raised £185.
Then on Sunday 20th we held our first Easter Party. After lots of planning it was pure joy to see all the children enjoying themselves. We had a lucky dip, Easter bonnet making, glitter tattoos, guess the jelly bunnies (99 in total!), a very popular tombola (full with Easter eggs!) and the entertainer was a real hit. The highlight was the Easter Bonnet Parade, with some stunning creations on show!
After all that excitement they then enjoyed a good run around outside, as the sun had his Easter Bonnet on too!
We raised £266.26 and again thank you to all the committee, staff and parents that help at all the events, without you it wouldn't be possible.
So it just leaves me to say, enjoy the Easter break and please put in your diary our next event....
