Hatching Ducklings

There is great excitement at Woodland Corner about the arrival, tomorrow, of eggs from a company called Incredible Eggs that will hatch into our very own Woodland Corner baby Ducklings!

The children will not only have the opportunity to witness the eggs hatching but will also have hands-on-experience of caring for and cuddling our own Woodland Corner Spring babies for 10 days.

As you can imagine learning experiences like this do not come cheaply so we are hoping that as many of you as possible will be able to drop a donation into our Purple bucket in the Woodland Corner Lobby.

Recruiting

We are now recruiting for a Level 3 Practitioner in Early Years to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will work primarily in our Pre-School but will need to cover some breakfast and after school club sessions as required.

Visiting Reptiles!

Next week we are looking forward to welcoming some scaly visitors to Woodland Corner, as part of our Dinosaur Adventure.

'Snakes Alive' (www.snakesalive.co.uk) will be visiting Woodland Corner, during the morning Preschool session on Friday 5th Feb, with a variety of reptiles for the children to learn about and handle. As distant descendants of Dinosaurs, this encounter is the closest experience to meeting an actual living, breathing Dinosaur that our children will experience, albeit in miniature!

If your child does not already attend Pre-School on a Friday morning then there is LIMITED space for accompanied non Friday morning children to join us at 10.45am for the Reptile Visit. Because of our space limitations, and the fact that we don't want to scare our scaly friends, spaces do need to be strictly limited. Please email us back if you would like to bring your child along at 10.45am next Friday. If we have a lot of interest it may be necessary for us to pull names out of a hat. If that is the case we will confirm your place, or otherwise, by 3pm on Monday.

As you will appreciate learning opportunities like this do not come cheaply so we are politely asking for a £3 contribution per family towards this fabulous learning experience. Please drop your contribution off to the Woodland Corner office.
