This month we have made bread rolls, Yoga with Katie (Monday), Multi Sports with Ian (Wednesday), spent allot of time at the mud kitchen and the sand pit. We had two new didicars that we love. We have made lots of Autumn crafts.
We also celebrated a few birthdays, including Abbie's!
Emma set the Pre-School children and Staff a challenge:
If you go into the garden or you go for a walk. Have a look at all the different colour leaves 🍁. Can you find any conkers or pine cones.
Bring anything you find in to share with your friends and put on our Autumn table.
PS The Chinese Lantern plant is toxic so we only showed the children.
Our AGM was very well supported last night. Thank you for our current committee agreeing to stay on another year! We are sad to see Tim Knowland resign after five years service. Welcome to our new committee members! We look forward to planning lots of exciting fundraising events with you this year!
Our Woodland Corner polo shirts are £8.45 each and they come in small, medium and large. Speak to a member of staff if your not sure of the size.
On Saturday the 17th September we held our annual Inflatable Fun Day at the Nayland Village Hall. It was a lovely event for local families and helped us make much needed funds. Thank you to our Committee for the donation of toys and cakes and their help on the day. Thank you to staff that gave up their weekend to help out. Also thank you to Alice and Dennis at MAD Bounce Inflatables.
We have welcomed lots of new children to Woodland Corner this new academic year and they are settling in well. We have never been so busy this early in the academic year!
This half term we are exploring nature and looking at the changes in the season, with lots of fun crafts, sensory tables and woodland walks. We have made cup cakes, apple and blackberry crumble and plan to make soup and bread.
We have continued with Katie's Yoga and Ian's Multi Sports sessions this term and we are looking forward to Laura teaching Forest School once she is qualified. These are a wonderful benefit to our children at Woodland Corner and we use our funds to pay for them.
We have three holiday club dates this half term, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
£25 per child per day. Two year olds should already be at our Pre-School. 3-11 open to children from other settings/schools. Please email us for a registration form: woodlandcorner@outlook.com
