Tuesday 27th October 2016 - Harvest Festival
We raised £40.00 for our chosen charity 'Bloodwise'.
After reading the book  "Oliver's Vegetables", we decided to find out how to make chips.  So today we have been peeling, washing, chopping and drying potatoes.  We then cooked some in a deep fat fryer and baked some sweet potato chips in the oven using Frylight.  We used all our senses and looked at the similarities and differences between traditional and sweet potatoes, then we talked about healthy foods that make us strong and food we have only for a treat.

Our new Charity Target Barometer tree! Thanks to Debbie Lock our Committee member for purchasing it and Adrian Szabo for putting it up in the window. We can now show you how much money we have raised. Thank you
